Mr. Robert "Buddy" Hocutt is one of the youngest certified Jin Pal Hapkido Federation Black Belts. He has trained and taught at the Academy for more than a decade. He is a competitive hockey player and has competed in advanced competition. Mr. Hocutt assists in the teaching of children's classes at the Academy. Mr. Hocutt will be attending a university in the near future. He is ranked in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu by the Yamasaki Academy.
Mr. Hocutt is a remarkable example of the benefits of martial arts training. His physical skills, teaching ability and maturity are well beyond his years.
Mr. Sean McDowell has studied and instructed at the Academy for more than 12 years. Mr. McDowell is retired from the Army National Guard. He served his country in Kososvo and New Orleans for extended stations. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. He is currently an elementary education instructor for the Altoona Area School District. Mr. Mcdowell is one of the primary instructors of children and teens at the Academy. Mr. McDowell is certified as a black belt within the Jin Pal Hapkido Martial Arts Federation. He is ranked in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu by the Yamasaki Academy.
Mr. McDowell posesses outstanding martial art skills. His background in education and his military experience make him a great role model and instructor.
