Mr. Kattouf has trained and taught Hapkido for over thirty years.  He established a do-jang to teach Hapkido in June of 1979.  His mission was to establish an authentic Hapkido school that would impart a code of virtue to his students. He also wanted to make health and fitness a keynote of the school's foundation.  He has succeeded in both endeavors. The Academy of Martial Arts-Jin Pal Hapkido Altoona, is the oldest martial training center in the Altoona Area. Mr. Kattouf has instructed thousands of students in Hapkido over the course of his career.  He continues to enhance his skills and fitness level.  He has advanced  his Hapkido prowess under the direction of Grandmaster Jin Pal Kim. He is also pursuing a quest to become a Jiu-jitsu Instructor. Mr. Kattouf has studied this powerful art form at the prestigious Yamasaki Academy under the tutelege of Franciso Neto. Mr. Kattouf is the Pa. State Masters III Powerlifting Champion for 2005 and 2006.  He is also the Director of Special Education for the Altoona Area School District.  His educational background has enabled him to ensure that students are taught using researched based principles.
